Last party we catered before quarantine was a memorable one. I had the pleasure of working with @plantsandpumps who has been #VEGAN for 23 YEARS!!!! Let me repeat, she’s not 23 years old (tho’ she can definitely pass for 23!), she has been vegan for twenty three years!!!✨💫🙏❤️🐣🐮🐷🌍✨ Can you imagine the impact she has made in the lives of animals and on the planet? Thank you, @plantsandpumps and family for your commitment to better the lives of animals and our planet!! 🙏💞✨
To celebrate Shvona daughter’s first birthday (& surviving parenthood for a full year), we made a pretty large centerpiece cake—chocolate cake with mocha buttercream covered with vanilla buttercream for guests. Decorated it with white chocolate drip, silver leaf, pearl sprinkles, and bedazzled with stylish donuts. For the baby, a #sugarfree banana smash cake with the baby’s first initial in purple, and edible flowers.
The motif of the party was quite glam—deep purple with silver accents. In addition to cake, I made the most lovely mini donuts I’ve ever decorated—vanilla donuts with shades of purple and silver/gray frosting, sprinkles, + edible flowers; shots of chocolate oat milk rimmed with oreo cookie crumbs served with our mini vegan #glutenfree housemade oreos; and vanilla + chocolate mini cupcakes with purple vanilla buttercream and blinged out with silver sprinkles, pixie dust.
Not only did I love making the donuts and putting the finishing touches together, I was so delighted to meet another amazing mama who is making a difference in this world. All Shvona and her husband’s guests feasted on a fully vegan menu at the party as they are both vegan. I’m loving seeing how so many families are invitingly introducing their loved ones to this healthy lifestyle. It’s a #WinWin all around. 🙏💞✨
