Fall Saturday's always look like this. Soccer prep.
What a picture can't capture, however. is the barking by parents who are rushing smaller humans to fill water bottles, find shin guards, get a headband, and WHERE ARE YOUR CLEATS?! uttered in pure frustration. Yesterday, one of our children, age 7, placed a shin guard on her leg, then a sock, and then another shin guard on top. (What?!) I think I want to remember them like this, though. Slowly, easily, meandering our way at the door. I'm hoping the chaos fades away and we simply remember the joy of the mornings.
