READ THE CAPTION ❤️ My client has asked me to keep his pictures until he was closer to his goal but asked me to share his story. (So you get my weird exercising face 😁) Sam came to me a couple of months ago wanting to lose weight and generally improve his health.
2 years ago he weighed 170kg and couldn’t find the motivation to start a healthier lifestyle. Even with family members asking him to do so, he wasn’t ready.
In March, after making some adjustments to his lifestyle, he was weighing in at over 150 kg and decided he wanted help with the next stage, this is where we started to work together.
When I met Sam, he didn’t know what he wanted at first, whether he just needed a plan or wanted 1-2-1 sessions.
We discussed what he wanted out of training and where he wanted to get to. What he wanted to achieve, a time frame for such an achievement, what motivated him, and how we were going to do it together.
When I have a consultation with a client, it is not just a chat about sessions and exercise. I need to know as much about the person as they will let me learn. The better the relationship between the PT and client, the more trust there is and for me, this is a solid foundation. Without it, I don’t see it working long term.
So he was very honest, and so was I.
I haven’t given him calories, we just made some small adjustments and habit changes. No food groups have been cut out, he still goes out and drinks at the weekend.
Last week, he weighed 131kg and bought his first branded t-shirt in a xxl
He had not done that before.
All he has done is listen, come training, make some small changes and has seen some major differences so far.
It isn’t easy, but it’s worth it!
This is the sort of shit I love to hear. I’m not overly fussed on weight but to hear a client tell you the are wearing clothes they haven’t been able to before, they’re feeling more confident and healthier,
THAT’S WHAT THIS JOB IS ABOUT - well for me anyway!
Looking forward to the next few months and what he can achieve next.
@samjacksonnnn you’re a legend and make my job so easy! Thank you!
