GG2W3D3✔️ wearing my fave shirt again 👏🏻 - So I have a sort of terrifying experience to share with y’all that happened to me at the gym today. Some dude (old enough to be my father if not older) approached me and made a really sad attempt to flirt with me or something, basically saying that he liked my shirt and he “should’ve listened to that advice a few times”, then proceeded to tell me way too much info about his sister’s relationship, AND THEN said he has no money and he’s lonely and he just came the the gym to hit on women. He then waves at me while I’m still on the floor, so I don’t look at him and walk around machines to avoid him and quickly run into the locker room. And then he proceeds to WAIT FOR ME OUTSIDE OF THE LOCKER ROOM for an extended period of time. I hid out in there shaking and so scared to come out. I finally walked out, making sure he wasn’t there and went up to the front desk to tell them about what happened. The girl working up there was SO sweet and understanding, and apparently this wasn’t the first time that they had had a report like this about that same exact guy. She told me that he left literally a minute before I came out of the locker room which made my stomach drop. I was genuinely so scared that he was going to be waiting for me in the parking lot but I am home and safe now. Point being, LEAVE WOMEN ALONE AT THE FUCKING GYM. They do not come there to be harassed, and whatever I choose to wear does not give you the right to creep on me. And you’re interrupting my workout and my sanity and disrupting the peaceful place that the gym is for me. It was just hella scary and I wanted to tell you guys about it because I’m sure that I’m not the only one who has experienced something like this. Was shopping at Costco and saw the Cilantro Lime Crema again on the shelf this weekend... Looked around for anyone to be excited with me and it was just me and the two kiddos 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 This dressing is the bee's knees in my book: creamy, great macros (swipe to see 👉🏼), and tastes SO GOOD. Leg day shouldn't be too different all the time. You should be focusing on improving in key compound lifts like deadlifts, squats, hip thrusts, leg press and some isolation exercises. But, to mix up your routine, you can always add a superset. Try this superset out next time you're doing leg press. Leg press 80% of your max weight x8 and then dumbbell squat for 10 reps. Feel the burn 🔥🔥

Do you HAVE to track macros to make progress?⁣ ⁣ No, you don’t.⁣ ⁣ Is tracking macros likely going to be the most OPTIMAL way to eat for your goals? Yes, most likely.⁣ ⁣ As with literally everything in the fitness industry, it depends.. ⁣ ⁣ ▪️What are your goals and serious are you about them?⁣ ⁣ ▪️How’s your relationship with food? History of disordered eating?⁣ ⁣ ▪️Where are you at in your fitness journey? Are you someone who has been eating mindfully for a while, or is this your first time entertaining the idea of vegetables?⁣ ⁣ If you have specific fat loss goals, or are trying to build muscle.. tracking your food is your best bet. Why?⬇️⁣ ⁣ 🔑 Bodies like to be at homeostasis. Being in a deficit or a surplus is not something your body intuitively wants to do. Unless you’ve been tracking for years, eating in a deficit or a surplus is likely not something you can consistently do without monitoring your intake. ⁣ ⁣ Now - If tracking macros is out. What are some things you can start doing NOW to start getting healthier?⬇️⁣ ⁣ 💧Increase water intake! Aim for a gallon a day if you’re active ⁣ 🍤 Have protein at every meal! You need more than you think.⁣ 🥦 Increase veggie intake! Try to have at least one serving per meal.⁣ 🍣 80/20 rule - 80% whole, nutrient dense foods that are minimally processed, 20% fun foods.⁣ 👩🏼‍🍳 Eat more mindfully - this one is huge. 1. Sit down for your meals 2. Minimize distractions 3. Chew slowly (this will not only help with feeling more full and satisfied but with digestion as well)⁣ ⁣ Tracking macros is an invaluable tool for learning more about the nutrient content of your food, BUT it’s not for everyone and it’s not forever. I started my fitness journey in December of 2018 and kept strong for 4 months, lost 20 lbs then got bored and lazy. I quit until November 2019, had gained that weight back and went to a HIIT class with a friend and I got the bug again. Since November I have lost 15 lbs and am going strong. FIX YOUR SQUAT FORM - How many of you have been told to sit on your heels during the squat? Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT what you want to do and can severely halt your squat progress 😣 - Instead, what you should be thinking about when setting up is creating 3 points of contact with your foot and floor to create a stable squat. Those 3 points of contact are: - 1️⃣ Big toe - 2️⃣. Pinky toe - 3️⃣. Heel - You want to think about driving all three of those into the floor, having all your weight centered right over the middle of your foot. New PR who dis? . . Little back story (pun intended), I’ve been working for a while now on my sumo deadlift due to me having many issues with my lower back doing conventional. Not gonna lie sumo is way harder than it looks and it took a lot of getting over my frustration with it to finally figure out my comfort zone. Moral of the story, not every lift, no matter how long you’ve been lifting for, comes easy to you. Some take serious work to get it right but don’t let it break you down.
