Swipe ➡️ for TRANSFORMATION: from current to 2017 to 2015. I used to get made fun of all the time for having no ass. Whether it was Asian ass, flat as a board, all the “you have no butt” comments...and each time I laughed because I knew it was true. But I also cried because it turned to one of my biggest insecurities. Growing up I have done martial arts for 20 years and all I knew was how to pick up my leg and do it fast lol. My quads were so over-developed and dominant that when I started to work out I could NOT get my glutes to activate. Plus I’m just not gifted with those genes 😔It took me years of figuring out what worked for me and my body and figure out what to do to engage my glutes and not my quads. Plus studying the glute guy @bretcontreras1 has really helped, so thank you! I have fully turned around my body composition with pure hard work - no short cuts, no crash diets, no one telling me what I should do - but rather ME making the slow/steady life changes and learning and studying to what helps my body. I also wanted to clarify because I have received like 5 DMs asking/ correcting me. ALL MY WORKOUT VIDEOS ARE 2-3X FASTER THAN REAL TIME/THE SPEED I ACTUALLY DO MY REPS. I want you to know that in every session I prioritize strength so reps are moderately slow and controlled; my resting periods are a minimum of 3 mins. In any given workout ranging from strength conditioning, power lifting, hypertrophy, and deloading my reps are never more than 15 reps per set ( only exceptions is Bret “The Glute Guy’s” hip thrust pyramid thingy) .. Day 26/66. 🦈 Guess who’s got herself back into a ‘normal’ sleeping pattern and isn’t staying up till 3am and sleeping in till midday?! THIS GAL! How to avoid ED triggers👇🏼 . My ED took control of my entire life for so damn long. From 2017-2018 I wouldn’t go more than a week without a binge and purge episode. I knew what I was doing was killing me so I decided to try putting an end to it and chose recovery. It was going great until I relapsed in August of 2019. The last few months of 2019 were the hardest, darkest, & most eye opening months of my life. I knew I couldn’t fix my ED alone and knew I had to do something to really put an end to it. That is when I started going to therapy & truly chose recovery. I had never wanted recovery more than I did the day I relapsed. I was over it consuming my entire life and always finding a way to creep back up. . So..what have I done to avoid relapsing again? How have I avoided my ED triggers? . If you are where I was back in August, I know you’re scared, I know what it feels like to feel so disconnected from who you truly are, I know what it’s like to wake up with a sore throat and a puffy face from puking at 3am due to a binging episode, & I know what it’s like to not know how to make it stop. However, I also know you WILL overcome this if you truly want to. . Truth is, it’s all in your head. The second you understand that is the second it’ll be easier to control those thoughts in your head. Avoiding ED triggers is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do but with time, it gets easier! . Tips to avoid Ed triggers: 1️⃣ develop an awareness of your triggers. focus on being mindfully aware of what your personal triggers are. pay attention to what triggers you throughout the week and then write it down in a journal. next to each one, you could write the thoughts and feelings that came up for you in response to the trigger. then, write a thought from your “healthy self” under each thought from your “ED voice.” separating your “ED thoughts” vs. “healthy thoughts” can be really helpful. 2️⃣ practice self love! find something you love doing that takes your mind off of everything and dedicate some time to that 3-5x per week. for example, I’ve found that my favorite way to spend time with myself is to hoop & shuffle. 3️⃣ reach out for help!

Nach all den Strapazen durch die letzten zwei Diäten habe ich dieses Mal anfangs mit Sicherheit nicht daran geglaubt, dass es auch so einfach geht. Und mir eine Diät mal leicht fallen würde. Die Zeit damals hat mich durch die Reihe an negativen Ereignissen sehr geprägt... 🙏🏼 umso glücklicher bin ich, diesen neuen & viel besseren Weg eingeschlagen zu haben. Why I do what I do! ⁣ ⁣ A lot of people ask me what DRIVES me to the gym and how I stay MOTIVATED.⁣ ⁣ People who don’t have similar feeling may not understand but working out whether that is running outside in the nature or lifting weights that I was scared to even look at makes me happy. Being able to see progress even if at times it’s DAMN SLOW is what drives me. ⁣ ⁣ I love seeing the sweat dripping down my face and just hearing my heart beating so fast. ⁣ ⁣ I love the fact that when I am in the gym no other thought crosses my mind⁣ ⁣ I love that when I am there it’s just about me. It’s about focusing on my breathing, watching my body do extraordinary things.⁣ ⁣ I love the gym, and that’s why I am there day in and day out.⁣ ⁣ This weekend my gym closed haha so maybe laugh and think I’m being dramatic because it’s just a gym. For a lot of us and I feel for females the gym is EXTREMELY intimidating. That gym was a place I went for a year and it was a routine so it’s a little scary shifting to somewhere new but I was proud that I was able to adjust and not let the fact that the gym is ME TIME disappeared.⁣ ⁣ So in a nut shell that is why I do what I do. I love working out. I love sweating, feeling the pain of my muscles, not being able to walk down the stairs. Because this is me and it is MY unique journey. ⁣

Minimal equipment 20 minute HIIT workout that you can do anywhere🤪( no excuses✌🏽) • I did each exercise for 30 seconds with 30 seconds rest after each and then had 1 minute rest before repeating two more rounds. #sleepwell66 challenge update: This was last night sleep info. I used a tracking app to get all this info. I didn’t sleep so well lastnight. Our dog will sometimes sleep in the room with us and she just kept getting up and making noise so it kept waking me up 😴 I am hoping tonight will be better. She will be sleeping in her own room where her kennel is. I try to get about 8 hours of sleep a night. If I don’t i an useless and will be tired all day lol. Good morning!! Have a shoulder & tricep workout to share with y’all. —————— 1️⃣ rear delt flies 4x12 (one of my favs, really try and feel the stretch here! 2️⃣ single arm tricep extension 4x15 per arm 3️⃣ banded pull aparts 4x15 4️⃣ around the worlds 4x12 5️⃣ bent over rear delt flies 4x12 6️⃣ shoulder press 4x10 7️⃣ Arnold press 4x10 8️⃣ overhead tricep extensions 4x10 —————— I also did some upright rows, front raises, and pullups! I love working my rear delts and it’s so important because it helps prevent excessive shoulder lean, which is a very common problem people have. Also, having some nice rear delts looks cool 😂

I am a dietetics student, so it is just natural that I would start posting my meals/recipes! Let me know what you think! One of this weeks meal prep is Fajita Bowls! Ingredients: 3 bell peppers 1 red onion 3 sweet potatoes 1 large can of Black beans Cilantro Lime juice • Cilantro Lime Rice: 2 cups Jasmine Rice 3 tablespoons of lime juice 1 teaspoon of salt 1 cup of chopped cilantro 4 cups of water • I cut up my veggies into strips and roasted the sweet potatoes for about 30 minutes and the bell peppers and onions for about 20 minutes. Both were on 350 degrees! For the cilantro lime rice, I used a rice cooker. You can also make it by boiling the water and then adding in all of the rest of the ingredients and letting it simmer for 10-15 mins! I don’t count calories, but I’m guessing this bowl is around 500 calories! I normally eat around 2000 calories, and the only way I can do that is by eating big meals. Do not been scared to eat a lot, especially if you’re hungry. Food is so important and is supposed to nourish you, not feel like a burden. 💃🏻 my stretch/warm up routine⁣ ⁣ 💃🏻 I have come to really enjoy my stretch & warm up time before I start any cardio/lifting weights. I feel like it helps me loosen up my body before getting into the workout.⁣ ⁣ 💃🏻 I stretch for about 5-10 mins depending on the day, then I warm up whatever body part I am using that day! ⁣ ⁣ 💃🏻 on this particular day, I was doing a leg/glutes warm up:⁣ 1. side to side steps x 20⁣ 2. donkey kicks (each leg) x 15⁣ 3. dire hydrant (each leg) x 15⁣ 4. lying abductions x 20⁣ 5. clamshells (each leg) x 15⁣ 6. frog pumps x 20⁣ 7. jump squats x 10⁣ 8. jump lunges x 10⁣ ⁣ 💃🏻 then I finished it off with jump rope, I did 3 sets of 20 jumps, I am trying to get back in to jump rope so i’m still rusty ! ⁣ ⁣ 💃🏻 & that is my warm up, #happytuesday !

Le sport, peu importe l’activité, ne doit pas être une obligation mais doit faire partie intégrante de votre vie. 🙌🏼 Peu importe ce que vous cherchez, de la performance, du bien-être, des résultats physiques : vous devez caler des entraînements sinon vous n’aurait pas de résultats, c’est aussi simple que ça. . C’est à vous de vous donner les moyens et de trouver le temps pour vous entraîner. J’entend souvent dire que certaines personnes n’ont pas le temps de s’entraîner: j’entends surtout que vous avez d’autres priorités. Et ça peut être le cas. Mais si votre but ultime c’est par exemple de changer physiquement, le sport doit devenir une priorité et être intégrer dans vos routines quotidiennes. . Vous allez me dire : « ouais elle est dans le sport c’est facile pour elle ». Mais avant je travaillais dans le monde de la beauté et j’étais moi-même face à des horaires pas facile : comme finir tard ou commencer tôt ... Mais on cale la séance comme on peut (avant/après/pendant le travail) mais on y va. 💯 . Ce n’est pas : je DOIS aller au sport, mais je vais au sport en toute normalité car ça doit faire parti de votre routine que vous vous imposez. Et même si vous allez à l’entraînement que 30 minutes ou qu’1 fois par semaine par manque de temps, ce n’est pas grave, le tout c’est d’y aller. Ou alors s’il vous arrive de louper plusieurs entraînements, c’est pas grave, ne vous dites pas « c’est mort je laisse tomber ». Tous vos efforts vont se mesurer à long terme sur plusieurs mois, plusieurs années. Le tout c’est de vous donner les moyens car si vous ne le faites pas personne ne le fera pour vous... #stayactive66 #gymshark66 • Its Tuesday and that means time for a new post! I’ve been working out for at least 5 times a week for the past month, and I’ve been loving it. I’ve been quite busy and sometimes I had to rush because I was still standing in the gym😂 • Anyways gymshark had a dare for week 3 to move at least 30 minutes a day. And I did! Not only by walking, but trying out some new things (you might have seen it in my instastories): - ice skating ⛸ (fell 2 times) - running 🏃🏼‍♀️ - cycling 🚴🏼‍♀️ - dancing 💃🏼 - and a long 40 minutes on a home trainer 💦 I really felt good after every 30 minutes of movement💪🏼 I got the energy to keep going and getting closer toward my goal✌️🏼 • Anyways my physique is getting better! I’ve been seeing lines and I notice I’m getting stronger. Currently I am NOT doing cardio, NOT tracking my food, and NOT restricting myself from sweets. What I AM doing is lifting heavy and intentionally, eating more frequently, adding in more fruits and veggies, and drinking more water. My body feels amazing and I am starting to feel a bit tighter in areas too. Funny how that works. My goal is not fat loss at this moment, but when you start to give your body what it needs, some things just fall in line. Sometimes, your routine just needs a bit of consistency and intent for your body to say "ohhhhh I see what we're doing now." And tightening up is just a side effect of doing what you're supposed to be doing, which is daily movement and eating mindfully. Focusing on strength and filling out my muscles in prep for a fat loss phase later on is my main goal right now.
