The Glover Mansion, once home to James and Susan Glover, does not have as happy of history as the now wedding venue would suggest. The couple began investing in real estate and making millions after their move to Spokane in 1873, however James divorced Susan just shortly after this success. All would have been fine and well, except for that James decided to remarry a younger woman just 48 hours afterward. When Susan stayed in Spokane to tell others of her ex husbands wrongdoing, he had her arrested for a “sanity hearing” - of which he was the only witness. Unfortunately, Susan was admitted to a mental hospital as a result, and would stay there for 22 years until her death. It is said that Susan comes to visit the Glover occasionally to visit one of the last places she was happy. Other than that, she is said to haunt James’ grave.
