Why many people struggle to build muscle👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽. . They rush the portion of the movement that is the most challenging and therefore the most conducive to adaptation. . Let's take an example movement - the barbell roe (obviously not the movement shown here). Where is the muscle working the hardest? At the top of the movement. Where is the muscle actually lengthening? At the bottom of the movement. Where do people spend the least amount of time? At the top and bottom of the movement. . To have the best chance of growing, you need to challenge the muscle in the shortened position, the lengthened position and also the mid range. This 3 position cable lateral achieves just that. The most resistance is applied to the side Delt when the angle of your hand to the cable is 90 degrees. . In the 3 pictures shown, you can see that this particular set forces the Delt to work hardest in the shortened position (at the start), the mid range (mid set) and in the lengthened position (at the end of the set). . After a LONG tenure⌛️ with the Bluffton University Football 🏈 Program. My last football awards ceremony I EARNED the LOU Stokes award 🎖 for TOUGHNESS. I was able to define the idea that a 160 pound defense of ends can be a play maker at that size. There were So many games where I was held and outsized as a defense of lineman. It’s so uplifting to get this Award knowing I had the chance to be a part of Lou Stokes last season of football with a Bluffton really is a whole circle moment. A little update: I’m starting to feel better I just have an annoying cough from inflammation in my lungs. I want to try and do a short at home workout today maybe. I hope you are all having a good week! A little tip I want to share with all of you is to not rush back into the gym after being very sick. When I was younger I would push through and over do it. I ended up feeling more sick and even injuring myself. It’s hard not getting those gym sessions in I know I feel it but we all need to listen to our bodies and take care of our health before our fitness. If that makes sense. If you still have a cough or any symptoms associated with being sick take it easy. Start slow, cut your workout in half, don’t raise your heart rate to high, and remember the gym will always be there!! I also can’t thank @gymmemewear enough for this extremely comfy hoodie!! I’ve been living in it since I’ve been sick! It’s so cute they have the cutest gym tops ever!! What better place to begin 10k training. From 5 miles (I’m aware a 10k is 6.2) in 38 minutes. Way faster than my pace when I ran my 5k in September . When I train I have to put on my shades & Dodgers hat and mentally go into a place of laser focus I call “Going Dark” in order to force my mind to do fight it’s inclination to quit. 👊🏿

Keeping the carbs low for some fruit later on, maybe a small bag of chips also 🤔. This looks like the carnivore diet but really I'm just animal/whole food base. Whenever I utilize this type of diet I feel at my best. It's a pretty balanced method of eating, I usually rotate between chicken, red meats, eggs and fish which will usually get me into 180-200g of protein of my target 225g, high fats and moderate carbs. By coincidence I hit between 2,800-3,200 calories which seems to be a deficit for me, losing around 1-1.2lbs per week which I'm cool with. The rest of my protein comes by shake and trace amounts from legumes, fruit and typically starchy veggies. I don't count carbs and fat as often because I eat the same meats so long as I have the meats weighed I'll have a ballpark figure of protein and fats calculated and the carbs auto-regulate due to the higher fat/protein content I eat plus the high quality of carbs (with junk carbs here and there) it's rather hard to over eat. The method I'm using isn't great for bulking, for bulking I would drop starchy veggies for white rice, reduce chicken... More specifically chicken breast, drop out 1-2 servings of fruit for 1-2 cups of OJ and then go from there. Anyway I'm down to 236lbs from 247lbs haven't lost strength yet. I use to have a goal weight but not anymore, I'll go lose weight until it becomes a struggle and strength drops in a stupid manner.
