One thing about Margot Robbie’s portrayal of Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’ that caught my eye is the accuracy *and* the originality. To me, that’s the best and most realistic approach they could have taken when transforming Margot into Sharon. Not a lot of us would wear the same clothes over and over again, usually we mix and match. We know that Sharon owned a white miniskirt, we know that she owned a turtleneck, so in that sense, you can almost picture her walking into her closet and putting together the outfits Margot has on. I’m definitely impressed with how those involved made this work. It doesn’t look fake or feel forced, and that’s what I like about it. In the last slide you’ll see costume designer @AriannePhillips and @MargotRobbie discussing Sharon’s style and how it factored into the movie.
