Okay, so the smile photos look okay - right? .
The thing here is that the midline is about 4-5mm off to the patients right side. .
You can see this in the final photo of the series. .
I normally tell my patients that the think to know about the midline is - it doesn't need to be in the middle. .
Also, top and bottom midlines do not need to match. .
What IS really important about midlines is that they should be parallel to the facial midline. .
So when carving a trial smile freehand, I always stand infront of the patient to make sure I can see the facial midline. .
This is almost impossible for a lab to do accurately - every time. .
I mean, even when I do it, I don't get it spot on the first time (but its quick and easy for me to correct it). .
I stopped getting wax ups from the labs many years ago because they are so unreliable. .
But enough about my process. .
This lady always put everyone else first, her family, kids, business, and now it was time for her to treat herself. .
When she did - all her family commented on her photos on social media, and that now she is smiling! .
She was confident to begin with, but getting a great smile has boosted her 10X! .
