SETTING GOALS ✅ . This has been something I’ve always needed to do to stay on track and keep focused and I think it’s so important to do! I set goals in all aspects of my life and make sure I write them down because it somehow makes it feel more real haha.. plus I can cross things off when I achieve them and keep striving for more!! . Determination, dedication and discipline.. . . I started at Snap Fitness Papamoa November 2018 and worked out with amazing people, went to just about all the group fitness class and noticed results.. . . I signed up for the 6 week challenge back in February and got some good results but knew I could do more, dreamt of getting lady muscles.. . . So I signed up with a pt Mike and with his amazing wealth of knowledge and my desire to get them gains I am where I am at now.. . . I have had body scans to help understand where I am at and what I need to work on or work better on.. . . I am currently on my 3rd 6 week challenge of the year and am honestly proud as fuck of what I've accomplished so far.. . . My biggest weakness is food, either not eating enough, not eating enough at the right times or over eating at the wrong time of the day. With the amazing support from scan man Dahl I now understand how food works for my body.. . . I am not perfect and I stuff up but with each evening means a new day will begin, with each friendship made has meant new forms of support, encouragement, empowerment and inspiration.. . . Welche Stellschrauben sind vielleicht gerade nicht in der gewünschten Position? Wo darf nachjustiert werden? - Bewegung, auch wenn einem nicht danach ist - gesundes Essen, auch wenn es im erstem Moment "Einschränkung" bedeutet - Veränderung, auch wenn es unbequem und schmerzhaft ist. Your body can't turn fat into muscle. And the reverse is also true: Your body can't turn muscle into fat, either. The reason? Fat and muscle are two different types of tissue, and one cannot be converted directly into the other, said Brad Schoenfeld, an assistant professor of exercise science at the City University of New York's Lehman College. "The best analogy I can use is, you cannot turn an orange into an apple," Schoenfeld told Live Science. What a person can do instead, however, is lose fat and gain muscle as two separate processes, he added. To lose fat, you have to lose weight, Schoenfeld said, and losing weight requires burning more calories than you consume. "It's a basic extrapolation of the first law of thermodynamics," Schoenfeld said, which states that energy, including the calories you eat, is conserved; it does not appear or disappear but simply changes form, whether it is burned to fuel bodily functions or stored as fat. "That has been shown over and over again in highly controlled … studies," Schoenfeld said. But to lose fat without also losing muscle, you have to eat the right foods: If you cut your calorie intake and don't eat enough protein, weight loss can result in a decrease in not only fat but also muscle. "It's been shown over and over that low protein intake [while cutting calories] leads to an accelerated loss of muscle," Schoenfeld said. To make up for the lack of protein in the diet, the body burns not just stored fat but also muscle, which is made of protein.
